Activities
Community involvement and personal development is supported by the school. Students are encouraged to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities - whether they relate to sport, music or community – in order to enhance their social well-being and knowledge.
After school activities are organised according to the needs of students and often change each term. These activities have included tennis, baseball, basketball, indoor rock climbing, fencing, rowing, surfing, fitness training, kite-boarding, volleyball, golf, snowboarding, drama, band and yearbook.
The International School of Western Australia is proud to have a chapter of the prestigious American-based National Honour Society and National Junior Honour Society. These organisations recognise high school and middle level students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character and Citizenship.
Students are encouraged to contribute to the management of the school through the Student Council. Class representatives and general officers are elected each year by the student body.
The International School of Western Australia’s student services officer can provide a list of recommended clubs and associations for additional after school activities.
