Secondary School:
Years 7 - 8
ISWA's Years 7 - 8 Curriculum offers 8 challenging courses of study. Each program is intended to promote the education of the whole person. Our aim is to provide a broad and balanced education while at the same time provide life skills appropriate to this age group.
All subject classes for students in Years 7 - 8 are allocated 1 x 40 minute period and 2 x 80 minute periods per week. Students see their subject teachers 3 times per week. The 40 minute periods are on Mondays.
Course outlines are distributed for each subject at the beginning of the academic year. Assessment and homework requirements are outlined in these documents. Students are supplied with detailed criteria and an assessment rubric if the assessment is weighted 10% or more.
