Maria Coate

My passion has always been teaching, learning and educating children to become life-long learners and active global citizens. I have taught at a variety of Secondary Schools and in leadership positions at: Willetton SHS; St. Mary's Anglican School for Girls; Presbyterian Ladies' College; All Saints' College and St. Andrew's Grammar. As a passionate economics teacher, I wrote three economics texts and was President of The Economics Teachers Association of WA.  I also taught Modern Greek for the Hellenic Community of WA in their after-school language and cultural programmes. I also taught Economics, at the tertiary level, at Curtin University's School of Business.  I would describe myself as an authentic leader and I am very much enjoying my role as Principal of the International School of Western Australia.
