ISWA's French Hybrid Education Programme
French Education Arrival Secures Perth as Global Destination
ISWA's French Hybrid Education has arrived in Western Australia, placing Perth as a global city which offers access and transition for global student education and exchange.
The International School of Western Australia has expanded course options once again, by introducing the French Hybrid. Unique to Western Australia, the model offers Civics, Maths and Language subjects from the French Education Curriculum as well as student integration into the ISWA Australian curriculum, each day.
“ISWA was established in Perth 12 years ago, with international curriculums to prepare students for future education around the world. We saw a need and an opportunity to bring the French curriculum to Perth, and we are thrilled with the immediate interest,” says ISWA Principal, Maria Coate.
The French Curriculum has previously only been offered at two schools within Australia - in Sydney and Canberra. With nearly 10,000 French Australians living in Perth alone, the French Hybrid is both an essential and desired outcome.
The French Hybrid was created in alliance with ISWA and two French-based corporations, Technip FMC and Total. This year 31 French students have been invited to trial the hybrid education for 12 months.
“Perth is a beautiful city with welcoming people and strong business. The enthusiasm for this French Hybrid was immediate and intense and will ensure its success,” says Technip FMC Director and FCO, Eric Tezenas du Montcel.
ISWA is already regarded for its globally acclaimed education models such as the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement. The French Hybrid is a further course structure allowing students to transition between Australia and Europe for part or all of their school education.
