Selection Process & the ePortfolio
As International Baccalaureate- link will open in a new window educators, we know that examinations do not always accurately measure the true abilities of children. That is why, unlike other schools, we do not require prospective scholarship recipients to sit an exam, which only ever measures a student’s performance in a specific circumstance on one day.
Instead, applicants are asked to submit an ePortfolio, past academic transcripts, and examples of leadership and community service. This portfolio should include but not be limited to: cover letter; academic transcripts and reports; awards; achievements; community service; leadership aspirations; hobbies and interests. Short-listed candidates then sit a face-to-face interview at the school. While strong academic performance is imperative for scholarship recipients, our scholarship students must also be well-rounded. This helps ISWA award scholarships to students who will thrive in our unique school.
The Principal will read all applications and select suitable candidates for a one to one interview (face to face or Skype) with the Principal and a member of the senior management team. Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Principal.
