Technology and Innovation
We use meaningful Information & Communication Technology programmes to develop our students’ digital literacy skills.
We have created programmes that embed the use of technology to develop our student’s digital literacy skills. At ISWA we foster environments that enhance students’ productivity in the use of IT. Our teachers continually improve their understanding of the ever-changing role of technology in the classroom. They are highly aware of the importance of integrating technology in a meaningful way within the curriculum.
ICT Hardware
Students from Kindergarten to Year 3 have access to trolleys (POD’s) of student Apple iPad tablets. Years 4 to 12 receive a Surface Pro tablet for the duration of their study, for use at school and at home. This property is the responsibility of the student. Our all-inclusive school fees cover the cost of this hardware.
Wi-Fi and Internet access is available in all classrooms at ISWA. All classrooms are equipped with either Interactive Whiteboards or digital projectors.
ICT Software
The school embraces the use of Microsoft 365 which provides a comprehensive platform of tools and apps for teachers and students to access through file sharing, document editing, communication tools, storage, etc. This includes access to the cloud to promote collaboration, learning, and improved productivity in real-time.
All students and parents have 24/7 access to the schools’ Learning Management System called SEQTA. SEQTA is an all-in-one teaching and learning system that brings teachers, students, and parents together in an interactive and supportive online community. It provides up- to-date school information including results and feedback, in real-time. New parents receive a welcome email from SEQTA allowing them to create a new password.
