Our Campus & Facilities
A brand new $21.6M campus with state-of-the-art facilities designed to support a world-class education for local and international students.
The International School of Western Australia is located in the western suburbs of City Beach in Perth, Western Australia. The school offers everything necessary to support a world-class education for students. In addition to large classrooms, the school includes science labs, drama studios, art studios, e-learning centres, library, gymnasium, tennis courts and basketball courts, large playing fields and a nature playground.
Brand new campus
In mid-2020, ISWA will be moving from its current City Beach location to its new home in Doubleview, just nearby. The move is as exciting for our current students, as it is for prospective students, as it provides an amazing opportunity to take advantage of brand new grounds and facilities.
The Doubleview campus, owned and being constructed by the Department of Education, will give us greater opportunity to provide exciting learning opportunities for students and local residents alike.
Two schools on one site
The new campus is located on the same site as the existing Doubleview Primary School, on St Brigids Terrace. Doubleview Primary School is also being redeveloped and will remain at the same address.
With two schools on one site, we have an opportunity to share facilities not just with each other, but with the local community. ISWA and Doubleview Primary School will share sporting facilities such as the oval and new gymnasium.
In addition, we will work with our neighbours and other community groups to facilitate public access for community-based programs and events.
State-of-the-art education facilities
Green spaces will complement the new buildings which will be landscaped with a combination of paved and turfed playing areas, gardens and recreation facilities.
Our new campus will combine old with new – retaining and refurbishing some existing school buildings and constructing a new two-storey teaching block, health and physical education centre and visual arts building.
Becoming part of the Doubleview community
We look forward to meeting our new neighbours and sharing our school with the Doubleview community.
From extensive language classes to music, science and robotics programs our new state-of-the-art facilities will be shared by many members of the Doubleview and surrounding communities. See [Our Community] to learn more about our community programs.
What’s happening on site?
We have made good progress since construction commenced earlier this year. If all goes to plan, we expect the Department of Education to take control of the new facility early next year, with hand over to ISWA by mid-2020. The timeline of our progress can be accessed here.
