At The International School of Western Australia we teach a progressive International Baccalaureate education to local and international students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Through an inquiry-based style of learning, we nurture children to become self-driven, enthusiastic learners.
It was a very emotional, yet exciting day for our Year 6 students, staff and parents as we hosted the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony today.
Students are preparing to transition from Primary to Secondary School, ready to embark on another exciting chapter in their lives.
The day commenced with a formal Graduation Assembly where our Year Six students received their graduation certificates and awards. We also had the pleasure of listening to a range of fantastic student performances. Our school Principal’s address brought a tear to the eye and the Year 6 student address was heartfelt, authentic and grateful to the staff and to the school. The assembly was followed by a sumptuous lunch at the Wembley Golf Course. The weather couldn’t have been better and students, parents and staff enjoyed the ambience and each other’s company.
Congratulations to our wonderful and kind Year 6 graduates! ... See MoreSee Less
A huge congratulations to our Year 10 students and staff on the inaugural MYP Personal Project launch. Students showed the highest level of innovation, creativity and original thought with their projects.
Students explored different areas of learning such as STEM, Music and the Arts and injected this into their projects.
This week the Year 3 class went on an Art excursion to REMIDA, a creative reuse center, that collects industry waste to be re-purposed by artists and educators.
Year 3 students learned the importance of using materials in a sustainable way, whilst having fun working with unusual materials. They enjoyed working with tools and using new techniques as they constructed musical instruments out of discarded industrial waste. ... See MoreSee Less
