International Learning Opportunities
We are proud to offer our students opportunities to explore the world, learn from diverse cultures, and engage meaningfully with peers and communities across the globe. These experiences deepen their cultural awareness, strengthen their ability to collaborate across differences, and form an essential part of our commitment to international mindedness.
Camps
In Years 3 to Year 12, our students have the opportunity to travel with their year-level on overnight Camps. These camps occur annually and are located across the beautiful state of Western Australia. Every second year, our Year 9-12 camps travel internationally. Most recently, our students adventured to Malaysia and Cambodia, where they explored temples, sunken cities, local schools and markets.
Global Alliance Exchange
ISWA holds an annual student exchange programme with NIST International School (Bangkok, Thailand), Windhoek International School (Namibia), and Annie Wright Schools (Washington). This Alliance builds intercultural understanding and nurtures globally minded learners, whilst also allowing our Secondary students to broaden their horizons and see how their international peers live & learn.
EAPISA & M.U.N
ISWA is proud to be a founding member of the East Asia Pacific International Schools Association (EAPISA). Through this partnership, our students enjoy opportunities to travel, build friendships, and compete in a range of sports with international schools across Southeast Asia.
Our thriving Model United Nations (MUN) programme also extends learning beyond the classroom. This year, our students are travelling to Singapore to participate in Yale MUN, an international conference, broadening their global perspectives and forming meaningful connections across borders.
Language Immersion Trips
Supplementing our language provision of French & Spanish classes in Secondary School is the opportunity for our Years 9-12 to travel to France or Spain for two weeks. Our students tour some of Europe’s most iconic cities, live with local host families and attend local schools. These language trips are an excellent opportunity for the practical application of our students’ classroom learning.
