Working At ISWA

ISWA seeks passionate and creative staff members who are innovative, engaging, internationally minded and supportive of our statement of Purpose and Commitments.

At ISWA, we aim to promote equity and champion diversity through practising inclusion, affirming the identity of individuals and groups, and seeking the elimination of discrimination. Employees will understand, appreciate and adapt for differences. We are also a Visible Wellbeing school and actively seek employees who assume best intentions, recognise other people’s strengths, and positively contribute to school culture.

Ideally, applicants will have 3 years of teaching experience with inquiry-based learning; IB experience is preferred, and alignment with IB philosophy is a must. Experience in an international school and the ability to communicate in languages other than English will be seen as advantageous.

Our employment opportunities are posted on SEEK. Expressions of interest can also be sent to humanresources@iswa.wa.edu.au.

Please note that ISWA cannot acquire visas for overseas applicants. You must be eligible to live and work in Australia. Further, aspiring ISWA teachers must be registered or eligible for registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA

With students and staff representing many nationalities and linguistic backgrounds, ISWA is a dynamic multicultural community where identity is honoured, culture, celebrated and diversity enriches every day.

We offer the IB PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme, providing teachers with opportunities to deepen their IB expertise, innovate in inquiry-based learning, and work within a future focused educational framework which is recognised worldwide and globally mobile.

All employees have access to relevant professional learning, including high quality workshops, industry specific development, and IB training. As an IB and EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools) school, our staff benefit from international networking opportunities, regional conferences, and connections with colleagues across the global education community. Where aligned with school priorities and professional goals, we also support postgraduate study and educator research.

All staff undergo regular Child Protection training. Our policies and procedures incorporate both Australian and worldwide best practice and coordinate clear and consistent procedures associated with keeping our students safe. ISWA meets the standards of the Australian National Principles for Child Safe Organisations
